The Museo de Arte Contemporaneo de Concepcion is housed in Mansion Otano, one of the restored historic houses in the old centre. Its collection gives the city a small but serious contemporary art stop, with works shown in a setting that is almost as interesting as the exhibits.
It works best as part of a walking route through central Concepcion, together with the cathedral, riverfront, and the other small museums nearby.
