Casa Tristan del Pozo was built in 1738 as the residence of Domingo Carlos Tristan del Pozo. It is now used by a bank, but the building remains a fine stop for anyone tracing Arequipa's colonial architecture.
The highlight is the entrance portal, where pale sillar stone is carved into dense floral, religious, and heraldic detail. The mansion also has several patios, giving a sense of the scale of elite homes in the old city.
