The Creole and Indigenous Museum near Fuerte San Miguel explains the frontier world around the old Spanish and Portuguese borderlands. Displays cover colonial transport, textiles, agriculture, manufacturing, military life, and Indigenous cultures of the region.
It is a natural companion to the fort rather than a separate expedition. Visit both together if you are driving through San Miguel National Park or using Chuy as a base for the border coast.
