Stora beach lies at the mouth of the small bay below the fishing village, a few kilometres west of central Skikda. The beach is sandy with calm, clear water — the bay provides natural shelter, which makes it a reliable swimming spot. In summer it is the main local beach; in spring and autumn it is quieter and more pleasant for a walk along the water's edge.
The beach is accessible by taxi from the city centre in about ten minutes. There are a handful of simple snack stands operating in summer months.
