A quiet inlet a short walk north of the village, Porto do Portete was used as a landing point in the days before the main bay had a jetty. There is a small black-sand cove and almost always nobody else on it. The water is clear and deep close to the rocks, good for snorkelling on a calm day.
The path along the cliff to get there is narrow but easy. Watch the swell — the sea on this side of Brava can change quickly and the rocks are sharp.
