The islets of Nyumashiwa sit just offshore from Nioumachoua and give the village its most memorable view. Some have white-sand beaches, and the water between the islands is the classic setting for local boat trips.
Do not treat the islets as a place to rush through. Their appeal is the combination of empty sand, reef water, and the feeling that the village is still close enough to see.
