Maadi is served by three Metro Line 1 stations: Hadayek El Maadi (the main entrance to the shopping strip), Maadi, and Tura el Asmant at the southern end of the district. The metro is the easiest and cheapest way to reach downtown Cairo or connect to other areas — the ride to Sadat station at Tahrir Square takes about 20 minutes.
Within Maadi, taxis and ride-sharing apps (Uber and Careem both operate here) are the most convenient options. The district is also compact enough for walking, especially along Road 9 and the Corniche. The Corniche follows the Nile bank northward toward central Cairo and is a pleasant route on foot in the cooler hours.
