Techiman's main draw is its extraordinary market, one of the largest in West Africa. The town also sits on top of a deep layer of Bono history, and a few worthwhile excursions lie within easy reach — including the source of the sacred Tano River just north of town and the ruined capital of Bono Manso about 16 km away.
