The park gate is 60 km from Nairobi via the A104 highway. By car the drive takes a little over an hour outside rush hour. Follow the highway towards Naivasha, turn left at the signposted Mount Longonot junction, and continue 7 km on a graded dirt road to the gate.
Without a car, take a Naivasha-bound matatu from Nairobi's central station and ask the driver to drop you at Longonot junction. Boda-bodas wait at the junction and will take you the 7 km to the gate for a small fee. Pay entry fees at the gate; KWS prefers M-Pesa over cash.
