Beaches

Malindi's beaches stretch along a sheltered bay, with white sand and warm Indian Ocean water year-round. The main beach near town gets busy with tourists and beach vendors, but walk a little further and you can find quieter stretches. The Malindi Marine National Park, just south of town, has some of the best snorkelling on the Kenyan coast — protected coral gardens and an abundance of tropical fish. Glass-bottom boats can be arranged through hotels or at the beach. Deep-sea fishing for marlin, sailfish, and sharks is popular, with the Malindi Sea Fishing Club being the main operator.
