Inside the park, you explore by walking, pony, or 4WD track where vehicle access is allowed. Weather and altitude matter more than distance: mist can close in quickly, and exposed ground becomes uncomfortable in wind or cold rain.
Carry water, warm layers, and navigation help. Even short walks can feel serious when the plateau is empty and the weather turns.
