Late spring to early autumn is generally the most forgiving period for Sehlabathebe, with longer daylight and less chance of severe cold. Summer can bring thunderstorms, while winter can bring snow and hard freezes.
Because the park sits around 2,400 metres, it has its own mountain climate. Check conditions locally even if the rest of Lesotho looks settled.
