The plateau is the park's main attraction, a wide highland landscape where grass, water, and pale sandstone make the scenery feel almost sculpted. Walks here are less about reaching a single famous summit and more about moving through open country.
Light changes everything. In clear weather the rocks glow and the grasslands feel huge; in mist the same ground becomes intimate and slightly eerie. Either way, it is one of Lesotho's great landscapes.
