Germa lies in the Fezzan west of Sebha, along the Wadi al-Hayat and Wadi al-Ajal oasis route. The journey is normally by 4WD with a local driver and guide.
Do not treat Germa as a casual side trip. Fuel, water, communications, permits and security arrangements need to be checked before leaving Sebha, and desert travel should never be improvised.
