Fianarantsoa's main market sits in the upper town off Avenue Fahaleovantena. It is less overwhelming than the Analakely market in Antananarivo, but still sells just about everything: vegetables, spices, zebu meat, woven baskets, second-hand clothes, and household goods. A good place to pick up local produce and watch daily life in motion.
