Musee Rabesandratana is Toliara's marine-focused museum, with displays on corals, algae, shells, fish, turtles, and the wider ocean life of southwest Madagascar. Its best-known exhibit is a coelacanth caught near Anakao in 1995.
The museum is small, but it adds useful context before trips to the reefs, fishing villages, and coastal reserves around Toliara.
