Caudan Waterfront is a redeveloped harbour precinct on the western edge of the city — shops, restaurants, a craft market, a casino, and a cinema, all arranged around the old port basin. It's the cleaned-up, air-conditioned face of Port Louis, and prices reflect that.
For visitors it's a useful base: the Blue Penny Museum is here, the dining options are reliable, and the harbour views at sunset are genuinely good. Locals come for the cinema and the upmarket shopping. The craft market has a mix of decent handmade goods and tourist tat — bargain.
