One of the better-known spots on the Dakhla waterfront, El Barco specialises in grilled fish and seafood platters. The menu changes with what came in that day, which is a good sign. Lobster, sea bass, and bream are regulars; oysters from the lagoon farms sometimes appear as a starter. The terrace faces the bay, making it a reasonable sunset dinner option when the wind drops enough for outdoor eating to be comfortable.
Prices are moderate by Western standards and relatively high by Moroccan ones — seafood in Dakhla reflects its desirability rather than its local abundance. Service is unhurried.
