Larache rewards slow exploration. The medina is small enough to walk in an hour, but the Spanish colonial new town, the clifftop kasbah, and the Roman ruins at Lixus justify staying longer. The town's unhurried pace is part of the attraction — this is not a city that performs for visitors.
