Kasbah Baha Baha

Restored kasbah-museum and guesthouse

Kasbah Baha Baha is one of the few traditional Nkob kasbahs to have been carefully restored and opened to outside visitors. The owners — a local family who returned to the village after years working abroad — have converted part of the structure into a small ethnographic museum displaying old Berber jewellery, agricultural tools, kitchen and weaving implements, and explanatory panels on kasbah construction and palmery agriculture.

The rest of the building is a small guesthouse with traditional rooms around an interior courtyard. Even non-residents can visit the museum and roof terrace for a modest fee; the view over the village kasbahs from the upper terrace is one of the best in Nkob.
