Safi has no airport. The nearest air gateway is Marrakech Menara (RAK), roughly 200 km to the southeast, or Essaouira Mogador (ESU), about 100 km to the south. From Marrakech, shared taxis and CTM buses run to Safi; the journey takes around three hours.
By train, you cannot reach Safi directly — the nearest station on the ONCF network is Benguerir (about 80 km inland), from which taxis continue to Safi. CTM coaches run directly from Casablanca, Marrakech, and Essaouira on a daily basis and are the most convenient option for most travellers.
By car from Casablanca the journey is around 200 km via the A7 motorway south to El Jadida then the N1 coastal road. From Essaouira it is a straightforward 100 km drive north on the N1.
