Millennium Park is one of Abuja's main green spaces, laid out with broad lawns, terraces, paths, and planting that nods to different vegetation zones in Nigeria. It was opened in 2003 by Queen Elizabeth II and quickly became a favourite escape from the city's formal avenues.
It is best for an easy walk, a picnic, or a quiet hour between bigger sights around the Three Arms Zone. The park is large enough to feel open, but still central enough to work into a short Abuja visit.
