Akure is connected to the rest of Nigeria primarily by road. Buses and shared taxis run to Lagos (roughly four to five hours), Ibadan, Benin City, and Abuja. The main motor park is close to the town centre.
Akure Airport has domestic service, though flights can be infrequent and schedules change. Check current availability before relying on flying in — road from Lagos or Benin City is often more reliable.
