The IITA campus is surprisingly rewarding for visitors. Its tropical forest nature park covers more than 300 hectares and is home to hundreds of rare and endangered migrating birds. A large lake draws anglers, and guides are available for park tours. The 18-hole golf course, following the natural contours of the land, is considered one of the best in Nigeria.
