Praslin has some of the finest beaches in the world. Anse Lazio is the most famous, but the island has a dozen more, most of them uncrowded and backed by palm forest and the enormous rounded granite boulders that are the Seychelles' signature landscape. The northwest coast has the best beaches for swimming; the east and south have more wind and rougher water from June to September.
