Lughaya is not a tourist town and has no infrastructure for visitors. What it has is a stretch of essentially undeveloped Gulf of Aden coast, a working dhow harbour, and the surrounding Guban semi-desert of the Awdal Region. Anyone who comes here is travelling overland from Berbera or Borama and has serious reason to be in this part of Somaliland; arrange visits through a local guide and the regional administration before setting out.
