Saylac's appeal is its layered history and its untouched coast. Most "sights" are partial ruins — mosques, Ottoman buildings, the line of the old harbour wall — that you wander rather than tour. The offshore islands, with their coral reefs and seabird colonies, are the other reason to make the trip.
