Kéran lies along the main north–south highway between Kara and the northern town of Mango. The visitor centre at Naboulgou is about 70 km north of Kara — under two hours by car — with a signposted turn-off on the right (eastbound) just past the town of Kandé.
There is no public transport into the park. Most travellers come by hired car from Kara with a driver who knows the area, or as part of a wider circuit that also takes in the Koutammakou (Tamberma) UNESCO area to the north-west. The park is best visited in the dry season (December to April); during the wet months many tracks become impassable.
