Musée Océanographique Dar El Hout is a small oceanographic museum near the Punic ports of Carthage. Its older displays include aquariums, preserved birds and animals, and fossil fish skeletons, giving the museum a slightly old-fashioned natural-history feel.
It is not one of Carthage's essential ruins, but it is an easy add-on when visiting the ancient harbours and Tophet. Families may find it especially useful as a change of pace between archaeological sites.
