Khewang Lhakhang is a small monastery in the Phobjikha area, traditionally said to have been founded in the 15th century by Trulku Penjor Gyeltshen, a disciple of Longchen Rabjam. It is quieter than the valley's better-known stops and works best as part of a slow circuit through Phobjikha.
Come for the calm setting and the sense of local religious life rather than a major monument. The monastery is a modest but worthwhile stop if you are already exploring the valley.
