Gulangyu Aviary keeps more than a thousand birds from many parts of the world, including peacocks, cranes, ducks, geese and larger species such as emus.
It is a light family stop rather than one of Gulangyu's essential historic sights, but it can be a useful change of pace between the island's gardens, museums and colonial lanes.
