Crown Cave, or Guanyan, is a large developed karst cave on the Li River between Guilin and Yangshuo. Local tourism material describes a much longer cave system, with the visitor section arranged as an unusually engineered route involving a light rail approach, an elevator descent, walkways, and underground water sections.
It is a show cave rather than a wild cave, with lighting and infrastructure doing much of the interpretation. That makes it less subtle than Guilin's open-air karst landscapes, but it is a worthwhile rainy-day or river-corridor stop for travellers who want to see the region's limestone from the inside.
