Yaoshan Hill Park rises northeast of Guilin and gives wide views over the city's karst landscape. Footpaths climb toward the summit, but the chairlift makes the viewpoint much easier to reach.
There is also a wheeled toboggan run on part of the hill and a Ming-dynasty mausoleum nearby. It is a useful escape when you want mountain scenery without committing to a full Li River or Longji day trip.
