Longsheng is about two hours from Guilin by bus — there is no high-speed rail connection yet, so the journey is on the main road north. Buses run frequently from Guilin's main bus station throughout the day; the last buses back to Guilin from Longsheng depart in mid-afternoon.
From Longsheng, minibuses run to the car parks for the Ping'An and Dazhai (Jinkeng) terrace areas — roughly 30 minutes to Ping'An, 40 minutes to Dazhai. These depart from the Longsheng bus station throughout the morning; the last minibuses back from the car parks run until about 6pm, though this varies by season.
The scenic area entrance fee covers both the Ping'An and Jinkeng areas and includes the cost of the minibuses between car parks and villages. The entrance booths are at the car parks rather than in Longsheng itself.
