The hot spring resort on the outskirts of Longsheng town provides warm sulphur pools fed by natural springs — a reasonable way to end a day of hiking steep terrace paths. The water temperature varies by pool but runs between 38 and 42 degrees Celsius, and the outdoor pools are usable in most weather, including in the light snow that occasionally falls in winter. The resort is a conventional Chinese-style spa facility with changing rooms, multiple pool sizes, and a café.
It is not a destination in its own right, but after a full day walking the stone paths between Ping'An and the high viewpoints, the combination of warm water and cool mountain air is genuinely restorative. The resort is accessible by taxi from Longsheng town centre (about 10 minutes) and most guesthouses in town can arrange transport.
