Hailongtun is about 30 kilometres northwest of Zunyi city centre. Tourist buses run from Zunyi to the fortress base; the journey takes about 45 minutes. Taxis from central Zunyi cost around ¥80–100 each way. There is no rail connection to the site itself — the nearest train station is Zunyi, served by high-speed rail from Guiyang (about 35 minutes) and Chengdu (about 2 hours).
Allow a full day for the round trip, including the climb to the summit and back. The site is open daily; the entry fee includes shuttle transport from the park gate to the trail head.
