Red Yang Ten Thousand Mu Grassland

Rolling highland grassland south of Taijiang

Red Yang Ten Thousand Mu Grassland is a broad sweep of upland pasture in Nangong Forest Park, south of Taigong town and below Leigong Mountain. The landscape is the draw: open ridges, long views, and grassland that feels very different from the denser Miao villages around Taijiang.

Local tradition links the area with late Ming and Qing-era history, including stories of Wu Sangui's followers and the Miao leader Zhang Xiumei. Come for the scenery first; the historical associations are an extra layer rather than the main reason to make the trip.
