The easiest way to reach Beidaihe from Beijing is by high-speed train. Trains from Beijing North or Beijing South stations run to Beidaihe station on the Beijing-Harbin high-speed line, with the journey taking roughly two and a half hours. From the station it is about 5km to the main beach — taxis and local buses cover this route.
Regular intercity buses also connect Beidaihe with Beijing, Tianjin, and Qinhuangdao city, though the train is faster and more reliable. From Qinhuangdao city (the administrative centre) there are frequent local buses and taxis to Beidaihe, about 15km away.
