Tiger Stone Park

Tiger Stone Park occupies a stretch of coastline in the central part of Beidaihe, where unusually large and rounded granite boulders crowd the shoreline, many of them half-submerged by the tide. The name comes from the perceived resemblance of the rock formations to a pack of crouching tigers, though that requires a certain generosity of imagination. What is undeniable is that the scenery is striking: the interplay of the pale rocks, the clear shallow water, and the pine trees along the shore makes this one of the more photogenic spots on the Bohai coast.

The park has paths and viewing platforms along the rocks, and the calm, shallow water nearby is suitable for swimming. It is one of the cleaner stretches of beach in Beidaihe and tends to attract families. Come early in the morning to avoid the summer crowds.
