Zhengding is easy to reach from Shijiazhuang, about 15 kilometres to the south. City buses and taxis make the run in 30–40 minutes, and the journey is cheap. From the Zhengding railway station, which is served by several intercity rail lines, the town centre is a short taxi ride.
If you are coming from Beijing, the most convenient approach is to take a high-speed train to Shijiazhuang (about 90 minutes) and then transfer to a local bus or taxi for Zhengding. It is also possible to stop at Zhengding on a journey between Beijing and points south, using the Zhengding railway station directly.
