Beiji Village is small enough to walk in an hour, but the reason to come is the experience rather than the list of attractions. The aurora in winter, the midnight dusk in summer, and the Amur River at the Russian border define what this place is. The formal tourist infrastructure — the northernmost post office, the monument — is secondary.
