Yabuli is routinely reached from Harbin, three hours to the northwest.
By bus: Regular tourist coaches and shuttle buses connect Harbin to the Yabuli resort in ski season, departing from the city centre and major hotels. The journey takes roughly three hours on the expressway. This is the standard approach for most visitors.
By train: Train services run from Harbin to Yabuli station, from where resort shuttles or taxis cover the final distance to the ski area. The train takes slightly longer than the bus but deposits you in the town rather than at the resort directly.
Self-drive: The expressway from Harbin is well-maintained and the drive is straightforward in daylight with winter tyres. Parking is available at the resort.
