Xinle Ancient Ruins Museum preserves the remains of a 7,000-year-old Neolithic village in northern Shenyang. The site combines archaeological displays with a reconstructed village area, making it one of the city's more direct links to its pre-imperial past.
The museum and ruins sit on opposite sides of the road, so allow time for both parts. Some displays have English labels, which makes the visit easier than many smaller archaeological sites in China.
