Penglai Baxian Sea Scenic Area turns the city’s famous Eight Immortals legend into a full coastal attraction. It is built on the shore east of the old pavilion area, with gates, halls, statues, causeways, and theatrical sea views arranged around the story of the immortals crossing the water.
This is polished, ticketed, and openly touristic, but it belongs in Penglai because the myth is part of the city’s identity. Go for the seafront setting and the symbolic architecture rather than expecting quiet antiquity. It pairs naturally with Penglai Pavilion and the waterfront promenade.
