Yubeng's activity is entirely outdoors and mostly on foot. Three main trekking routes push from the village into the mountains above, each requiring a full day or more. The approach trail from Xidang is itself part of the experience, and the village's position as a Tibetan Buddhist pilgrimage stop means the atmosphere here is different from any other place in Yunnan's tourist circuit.
