The Bandabuliya, Nicosia's covered municipal market dating from 1932, was restored in 2013 and now houses cafés, a few craft stalls, and occasional events. The main café in the central hall is a calm spot to drink Turkish coffee or fresh juice between sights.
The space itself, all white-painted iron columns and high windows, is a fine surviving example of an early-20th-century covered market.
