Manginapudi Beach lies about 10 km south of Machilipatnam on the Bay of Bengal. It is one of the few places along this stretch of the Andhra coast where a clean beach meets relative accessibility, and on weekends and holidays it draws families from Machilipatnam and the surrounding villages.
The beach is wide and the sea here can be rough — swimming is not always advisable, particularly outside the calm winter months. But the scenery is worth the trip: the light on the Bay of Bengal in the late afternoon is spectacular, fishing boats return with their catch, and the casuarina groves behind the beach provide shade. A small Shiva temple stands at the northern end. Auto-rickshaws from Machilipatnam run to Manginapudi; the journey takes around 20 minutes.
