The Ayurvedic and Unani Tibbia College, commonly known as Tibbia College, is one of India's most historically significant institutions of traditional medicine. Founded in 1889 under the patronage of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and supported by leading figures of the late Mughal court, the college was established to preserve and develop the Unani (Greco-Arabic) and Ayurvedic medical traditions at a time when British-trained allopathic medicine was becoming dominant.
The college campus includes a small museum of traditional medical instruments and manuscripts, and an attached dispensary where Unani and Ayurvedic treatments are available. It is a peaceful, largely overlooked institution that offers an unusual window into Delhi's pre-modern intellectual and medical history. Located at the northern edge of Karol Bagh near Pusa Road.
