Kevada Masjid is quieter than Jami Masjid and all the better for it. The mosque stands with a ruined cenotaph and open ground around it, giving you room to understand the building's profile rather than just its facade.
The carving is delicate, with slender columns and jali screens catching the light. Visit after the main mosque, when your eye has adjusted to Champaner's particular blend of Sultanate form and Gujarati craft.
