Getting There

By air. Jamnagar Airport has limited domestic flights, mostly to Mumbai. For most travellers, Rajkot (130 km east) is the bigger hub with more frequent connections.

By train. Jamnagar is on the western line between Ahmedabad and Okha, and trains from Ahmedabad take 6–7 hours. Direct overnight trains from Mumbai run several times a week and take around 16 hours. The station is in the centre of town, a short rickshaw ride from most hotels.

By bus. Long-distance buses connect Jamnagar to all major towns in Gujarat: Ahmedabad (6 hours), Rajkot (2.5 hours), Dwarka (3 hours), Junagadh (4 hours).

By road. The drive from Ahmedabad takes about 5 hours along NH947. The road is largely good four-lane highway.
